Hi all,
Having an apache/mysql/phpbb for a long time, I wanted to migrate in all java with jetty/hsqldb/jforum. The tool phpbb2forum being a good base, I modified it to directly target hsqldb or any other bases
After having installed your jforum, copy your base hsqldb in another directory. It is enough to modify the SystemGlobals.properties file according to your configuration then to carry out following scripts:
- phpbb2JForum.bat
- searchIndexer.bat
then to recopy your base towards the directory of the Web server.
For information, I treated 1500 posts migrated then indexed in 10 seconds on P3 1Gz.

Comments are welcome 8)

Any progress on making this compatible with the latest releases of JForum (e.g. support for polls)?

Humm, nothing more have been done since my post but maybe I could try adding polls to this converter.
