How to lock a forum?

Hi,

I couldn't figure out how to lock a forum. I've tried to make it "read only" but the lock icon does not show at all. Is it a bug or I've missed something?

I don't think you can lock a forum, just threads in it.

But good question, and I look forward to a confirmation or correction to my statement.

In fact, despite the legend on the main page, you can lock a forum as you lock a topic. That's odd.

So, how do you do this? I cannot find a place to lock the entire Forum (or Category), just threads in a forum.

Thanks for responding guys. I still can't figure out how to lock a forum. I could only set it to read-only forum but it does not actually attach the "locked" icon there.

I have another question, which I have spent hours to find an answer myself but in vain. The question is: How come the icon "new topic", "new message", "profile", "pm" are all pointing to http://www.jforum.net/images/transp.gif but they are displayed correcly (not actually using transp.gif icon at all). I've found this while mucking around with the skin and locale. At the moment, my test forum shows the "new topic", "new message", "profile", "pm" as this icon http://www.jforum.net/images/transp.gif, all other icon displayed correctly. I believe these above icons should be from ./template/default/images/<locale> but for some reasons, they could not be used but insist in using transp.gif.

Can you please shred me some lights to sort this out?
