Which development enviroment is better? Windows or Linux?

My Jforum is going to be deployed on Linux (FC4) platform.

While I can build Jforum on Linux using ant no problem. I prefer to use an IDE to develop the project.

I am wondering which is a better developemnt environment for me.
Eclipse running on Linux seems to be not ideal. The Windows version is definately faster.

Since this is pure Java, I think it might make sense to develop in Windows, test it and then deploy it on Linux?

Not sure what kind of environemnt most people are using for this project?

Looks like I'd better use Windows as the development environment.
