JForum's use of cookies

It apears that JForum sets a cookie to implement session persistence. Do you plan to lift this constraint, for uses who do not allow the setting of cookies (E.g., by using URL rewriting to pass session id as a parameter)?

J2EE already transparently supports that. You might see things like:

GET /posts/list/272.page;jsessionid=1B006F65B4010701069A7A2CB56D1255

In your access log for your web server. This automatically happens and JForum does not need to be aware of it

You might, but you don't. Try, E.g. blocking cookies from your jforum site, logging in as admin, trying to access any of the admin panels from the left-hand menu.

You will be asked to log in at each target instead of going there. At least in this case, URL rewiting is not happening by default.
