Hi, I posted in the JIRA section but haven't had any response yet.
Perhaps I did this out of turn and it needed to go here first?
Anyway, here is what I am seeing:

we have two installs,
-a- jforum 2.1.6 with mysql (no problems)
-b- jforum 2.1.6 with Oracle 10.2g

the mysql install is fine. management (thus far) would like us to use Oracle DB and to this end we are trying.
we grabbed a recent copy of the CVS and found (cool!) some database work for Oracle. we installed it and
most jforum functionality was fine. with Oracle install there are two issues. -1- when we try and use the manage
quota attachment it allows us to create quota items but when we try and apply to a group permission it gives an
ORA-00911: invalid character error. -2- when we try and use the attachments extension groups, to create new
allowed extension types, it throws the following error when we submit a new extension : ORA-02289: sequence does not exist
looking in the database, we can see that the sequences for attachments do exist, but both errors are puzzling.
Can you offer any clues on these errors?
Thanks
Doug

-1- we abandoned our attempts with the ATG Dynamo Application server. too much hassle and problems with it.

In fact, the sequence name is jforum_extension_groups_seq

I fixed this error in the CVS now.
