First of all this is a great product. I'm trying to integrate jforum into my application which has it's own roles and management. When ever I try inserting/deleting from the jforum_role_values table in mysql v5.0.18 there is a lock on this table. When I don't start jforum on startup I'm able to insert and delete from this table until jforum is started.

Is there a way with or without(preferred) changing your code to release this connection to the table?

HHmmm... JForum does not hold any locks on it, as far as I'm aware.

If possible, please install JForum on a previus version of mysql, and check if that happens.

It looks like it's time for me to write you a reality check! Or maybe a tiny ad!
