Session variable

Hi!
I and my questions, again....

I need to use one (only one!) session variable in one (only one) template of jForum... Is it possible? If yes how this make?

If extension of templates it was jsp would be easy but its not....

Help me please.....

ok, I saw in header.htm [${session.username}] . But I need to compare values, one basic if session equals then this, else then that....

Well, this ${session} variable is an UserSession object, and not an HttpSession.

If you want to access the HttpSession, try

${request.getSession().getAttribute("xxx")}

To do your comparison, just use

<#if request.getSession().getAttribute("xxx").equals("y")>
    // code
</#if>

But I need make is the login system... My aplication is new then its easy unification of dbs, I think to use the login and register system of JForum... My idea:
1 - Each page places in the session its name in variable oldPage
2 - Using login of JForum make validation.
3 - In template forum_list redirection occurs for page in var oldPage

Take a look on the freemarker manual, at http://freemarker.sf.net

It's worth to know how the template engine works.
