HI.

I'm using JForums (tomcat) with Apache (using ajp13). I want to know if anyone has managed to find a workaround the download bug.

When i visit the forums directly on tomcat I can download without issue. When I got via Apache IE cant save the file. I can see the following in the connector logs

The download fails in IE (cannot save file, after confirming from the save dialog). Works great in Firefox.

I think I've fixed this in my own code, but cant remember how :-(

I tried switching the option in the config from Physical to inline in the global settings, but it didnt make any difference, according to the connector i was still seeing it as attachment in the content disposition.

So, anyone had luck with AJP13 and tomcat with IE for attachments ?

I have some forums running behind ajp13 and it's working fine.
But it may be some problem with the old 2.1.4 version.. don't remember anymore

Yeah its a weird one...

dont suppose there is anything in the CHANGES files that might relate to this?.

Also, seeing as thismight be fixed, how painful would it be upgrading from 2.14 to 2.16 ?

Upgrading from 2.1.4 to 2.1.6 is really easy. Just make sure you read the "Upgrading.html" file and apply all the database changes, that are available under the "upgrade" directory.
