HEAD version in CVS hasn't worked version of installer. plz use 2.1.6 release

I downloaded 2.1.6 jforum,but I don't know how to install manually??Anyone can help me??I saw instructions but after I edited database,next way What I have to do to install it.please help me more details...Thanks very much!!!

Have you deployed the jforum.war file, or manually extracted it to the necessary location? The URL referenced above will not be available until you have done that part. Are you getting an error? If so, please post what it is.

What app server are you running? What database are you trying to use?

What do you mean by you "edited database?" Are you following the manual instructions?

Yes,I downloaded jforum.zip from source, ,I extracted it to my folder on computer...
I followed the manual instructions,the end of instructions don't explain how to install. I use HDSQL,localhost for Server...,

I don't understand this sentence:
"The next step you should do is register the JForum application within your Servlet Container, like Tomcat. This document will use the context name "jforum", but of course you can use any name you want." In Unpacking section of

You need to have an application server running on the computer that will be running JForum. Tomcat is a popular one. You will also need a Java SDK or JRE.
