I get the following message every time i launch my forum. .xml file is in root of WEB-INF and log4j far file exists in lib.

log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (com.mchange.v2.log.MLog).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.

I saw this post in bugs:
https://coderanch.com/t/576348

I tried moving the log4j.xml file but that just got me a file not found...i see the note in this bug says to move the file and then change source. what source? I am 2.1.6 running on Tomcat 4.1

Thanks

Understood that it will not affect the system but i am interested in having the log file being written to, any way to get that working?

Copy ur WEB-INF/log4j.xml to WEB-INF/classes/log4j.xml
This is temporary workaround.

I use 5.5.17.

I move file WEB-INF/log4j.xml to WEB-INF/classes/log4j.xml, fix in sources path to log4j.xml and recompile all sources.

All work correct...
