Freemarker and JavaScript

Hi,

Does anyone know if i can call a entity method in javascript?

var parentId = ${handler.getParentByChildId(childId)};

OR do i need to get a macro to print this line of javascript?

Remember that freemarker is procecessed on the server side, so all you can do is to generate contents that later will be used by javascript.
