I have been successful in getting the JForum running in the same application space as my other two apps all except for styles and images to appear.

I see that the contextPath is used in determining the URL but when i try to intervene this URL nothing changes, still no images appear.

I see that the getContextPath is used in several locations, what i am having difficulty finding is the location where the styles and images are pulled in ... since my contextPath and the location of the images is different.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Example:

Does not work -- http://localhost:8080/JForum-2.1.6/templates/hpwspc/images/folder_big.gif

Works -- http://localhost:8080/JForum-2.1.6/JForum-2.1.6/templates/hpwspc/images/folder_big.gif

I would rather not change all htm pages to reflect the location, but would like to intercept the contextPath when/where it is writing the src= of the tags.

All images, styles and etc must be in the root directory of the context. It will not work if they are in a different location.

I was thinking i could edit the htm pages and modify the path that is set for all the images and styles to have the following:

/${contextPath}/${newValue}/templates/...

Creating this newValue in the JForumContext class or creating a new class specifically for this.
thoughts?

Well, that's a huge work to do. If you can live with the default settings, your life may be easier, as you won't have many problems when upgrading to a new version of JForum
