User ID and user first and last name

Does jForum support having not only a chosen user id but also allowing a user to select a first and last name?

The user data does not have first and last name so far. You can request it at http://www.jforum.net/jira

"User" should be renamed "Login Name" and a column should be added to the SQL schema for "Full Name" and that should be in the My Profile UI.
