Hello to all,

We have just begun using this wonderfull tool for creating a kind of "intranet" to post different news, questions, etc in our company. We are trying to customize it to what our users demand.

We have come accross one problem when creating a new forum. We enter as admin user, access the control panel, forum option, create new forum and then fill in the name of the forum, whether we want to moderate it or not, category, description, etc. Once we have finished, we update the information but when we go to the page where the forums are displayed we can not find the new one. I have read in the java code something about the cache but how can we "insert" this new forum?

Thanks and keep on going with this wonderful proyect.

You need to add the new forum to the groups that need access to it (i.e. General). This is done from the Admin Console / Groups / General (or whatever other group you have created) / Permissions.

Thank you for the response. I will try doing it that way.

Humans and their filthy friendship brings nothing but trouble. My only solace is this tiny ad:
Building a Better World in your Backyard by Paul Wheaton and Shawn Klassen-Koop
