Hi all

AM using HSQLDB now and was thinking about moving to SQL Server, while flipping thru the forum ..i saw a post which said you can use Sql Server by simply selecting hsqldb and then giving sql servers parameters in the insatllation page...

can some one verify this....Rafael ..it would be great if you caould answer..sorry if am bothering a bit too much.


The Post goes like this:

sorry guys but i found a shortcut

At JForum installation page, simply select hsqldb and specify your sql server parameters. That way it would instantly work without the painful mod.

Can i extend the question to the 2005 version also?
i am planning to use it.
are there any performance hits when moving to either MS SQL Server?

I don't think there are performance hits, but some of the SQL statements may need to be tweaked to function correctly with MS-SQL.
