I'm curious, though... What is the problem? Is it that is causes horizontal scrolling? Or is there something happening that I'm not noticing?

I think that you can split the message. You have the fonction in net.jforum.view.forum.common.PostCommon.java class.

The fonction is called preparePostForDisplay. You can verify the message
and add some
.

I don't see how this can be done, at least not in a fashion that fits all needs, as the text is handled by the browser, not JForum.

Also, there are many little issues to take into account, like screen resolution and font size of each browser.

However, if you really want to handle this kind of input - that, in my humble opinion should be managed by the moderation team properly -, then you can change the source code a little bit, as stated by bobylus in the previous message.
