Search parameters

I'm thinking of using JForum as a means of capturing production support issues as they occur. One of the things I'd like to do is query posts based on date range. I.e. so we can see how many support issues have come up in a given date range.

Is this possible? There weren't any post date criteria fields on the search.

And - is anyone else using a forum like this for a production support knowledge base?

While the search feature does not support data range matches, this can be easily achieved, by either improving the search code or doing some query directly to the database.
