Is there a way to remove usernames from the database that are no longer being used. My organization has some inactive members who no longer will be participating in our forum and we'd like to remove those usernames so others could use them.

You might be able to edit the jforum_user table and just change the user id to something like xxx-retired. This should keep the posts happy and let the xxx name be reused. This is theory only.. your mileage may vary. [originally posted on jforum.net by monroe]
