Hi Everyone,

I was getting the below error while approving the messages.

Expression forum is undefined on line 7, column 47 in default/admin/moderation_list_posts.htm

I couldn't figure it out what the error was and thought this is the best place to get an answer. Plz help me in solving this issue.

This is what I have done...

After installation was successul, I logged in as admin. I have created a category where moderate = "YES" under group "GENERAL" and I created a forum (again moderate = "YES") under that category. I updated it and logged out of the forum.

I registered a user and logged in to the forum that was installed. I posted a message in the forum I have created through admin. After posting, it said wait for admin or moderator approval.

When I logged in as admin, I went to message approving and clicked on VIEW. It shows the error "Expression Forum is undefined on line...col ... in default/admin/moderation_list_posts.htm".

I couldn't the figure it out what was the error.

Awaiting your reply.

Thank you,
Ravi

I've just installed JForum 2.1.7-b3 and ran into the exact same error message. Has this problem been resolved?

Please help!

Don't worry about it. I accidentally stumbled across the "solution".

You've to create a Moderator group (and configure it to moderate the relevant stuff) and associate your username with the Moderator group. Remember to leave the IsAdministrator as "No".

If you checked it again, the error's gone. Cheers!

I guess I've been abducted by space aliens. So unprofessional. They tried to probe me with this tiny ad:
