Hi folks,

The error occurs on every access to JForum, when it has been deployed from a WAR archive in Weblogic. It results from a NullPointerException when trying to getRealPath() in the JForumBaseServlet init() method.

I came accross this error this morning, and have filed a bug report, where I offer a patch in case anyone else has the same problem:
http://www.jforum.net/jira/browse/JF-638

Let me know if this is useful to anyone!

I can't promise to contribute to JForum a whole lot, but some sporadic things like this are more than likely. I will take this chance to introduce myself.

I work in a company that provides services for free software, in France. My job consists of part system administration, part development and bug fixing of free software. Contributing to free software projects is both part of my job and my leisures. At the moment, I'm setting up JForum for large scale use for one of our customers.

With hopes of future collaboration,
Jonathan
