I am installing JForum 2.1.7-b3 on a linux server running Tomcat 5.5 and PostgreSQL 8.1.2.

I got around the "need write support" issue by downloading and putting the "__index.redirect" file in my jforum home directory.

I've tripple-checked the database, database user, and storage space and all are valid. And, no tables are being created in the database by the installer.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance!
Randy
