Sorry but I am finding the security settings not very clear at all.

I wish to force users to log-in in order to post a new message or a reply. I have tried doing the following in the Admin Control Panel:

1. Under "Groups" click on "Security/Permissions" for the "General" group.

2. The following settings:

Is Administrator = No.
Categories = Allow All (still not sure what this actually does)
Forums = Allow All (this allows the user to participate in all forums, right?)

Anonymous Posts = I have selected the forums (ie. I do NOT have "Allow All") because the instructions say "Deny anonymous posts" so I have selected the forums which I wish to deny posting to.

But that does not work.

This 'allow all' logic is really confusing in the security settings. Could somebody please enlighten me? Thank you very much,

Heather.
