In the past, I've seen a lot of people abuse forums by signing up under fictitious e-mail addresses either to spam the board or to troll and antagonize one another.

The validation of e-mail addresses seems to prevent a lot of this and is now standard on almost all community sites. Yet I do not see this in Jforum - am I just missing it or does it not exist ?

Also, are there CAPTCHAS anywhere in Jforum ? (ie. text which is displayed in an image but distorted, in order to prevent automated registration).

Ok, just saw the 'enable captcha during registration' setting and the 'requires user to authenticate e-mail' setting in the Admin Control Panel -> Configurations.

Sorry for the unnecessary post earlier
