Hi there,

I'm new to this forum. If my english is not so good, please consider that I'm german.

I'm currently installing jforum on a debian virtual server. OS is Sarge, Java is 1.5 and the application server is a Tomcat 5.5.23.

I tried the automatic installation but unfortunately it failed. Well, I found the related thread (https://coderanch.com/t/576958 ) too late. ops:

Now I'm in the process of the manual installation. Everything works fine, but now I can't find the new_rename.htm. There is only the index.htm in the root dir.

All clear.

Droped the whole installation and made it again from scratch with the __index.redirect fix.

Forum is up and running. 8)
