Can we send out a generic email to all registered users on our jform. If so where do we go to send out emails. I have found the test email part but I do not see where to compose and send out bulk emails.
If someone could let me know that would be great.
thanks [originally posted on jforum.net by niki]
It is a legal requirement in many countries to have an "unsubscribe" method (and for the mass-mailer to honor/track users who have unsubscribed). Generally, this is a statement at the bottom about how to do this. Support for this function should add this automatically to any mass e-mail.
The registration/profile sections should include a method of tracking who has "subscribed" to e-mail announcements. And include "tick/untick" boxes to allow easy opt in/out.
Personally, with 80% of the e-mail on the Internet being spam, I don't think this should be a high priority item.
this does not answer my question.
How do I send out mass emails to those on the forum that want emails. i can not find where to send out emails.
Is there a function on jforum that allows me to send mass emails. please provide specific instructions on how to find this. [originally posted on jforum.net by niki]
