Hello,

We are using a slightly modified version of JForum version 2.1.6, and are considering upgrade to 2.1.7.

I suppose we have to merge the source code, but does any one have any good advice?

I'm in the same situation. Still running 2.1.6 and haven't upgraded to 2.17 because I haven't found the time to do the integration rewrites. I have looked at it. For me, the biggest differences were in the DAO interface and code changes (I use my own) and the changes to the security model (dropped the "value" columns in the tables, so it's true if the permission exists, false if it doesn't). Templates and most of the other stuff seem pretty much the same.
