email authentification?

I have set the config option "authenticate uers by email" to TRUE.

I go to the forum, create new account.
I get a message that I will receive an email to activate.
But when I checked my email, I didn't received the mail.

Consequently, I have to get the user actkey from database and activate the account manually.
Could someone help me regarding this problem?

Are email settings right? Are you able to send a test mail from the Admin Panel -> Configurations page?
