I just found out about JForum and am looking forward to using it for several projects. I would like to give something back and can contribute time to documentation, testing or development. I have some experience with Java and am working with Spring right now but most of my coding has been in systems-level C++. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks for the good work and keep it up.

You can start looking at http://www.jforum.net/jira and see if there is something you can do. About documentation, if you have any experiencie with JForum and would like to write something to the wiki (http://www.jforum.net/doc), you may write the contents and we can add it there.

Also, take a look at the "JForum 3" forum here at jforum.net - that would be the new version of JForum, and we probably will use spring in some parts, so it's a new area to work with.
