How to update database settings?

After I changed user name and password with mysql database. I have to update these information in jforum, do I need to reinstall?

heck no! ;)

You only have to update your properties.

Those are either in the mysql.properties or in the jforum_custom.properties or in the systemglobals.properties, depending on where you first wrote down your password setting informations.

So check out those files, see where you find the current pwd information and replace them with the updated data
