I installed JForum successfully and it works just fine. How do I enable login such that a user has to login before posting any messages? Right now, anyone can post a message and it doesn't prompt for login and the message gets posted as Anonymous.

Thanks.

In the admin screen's create a group called Read-only (or what ever). Then in the permissions part of this group, set all the rights you want to limit your "read-only" user to. E.g.: Limit category access; group access; set deny anonymous posts on all groups; and the like.

Then remove the anonymous user from the General Group and add them to this new group.

Thanks for the prompt response. I did exactly what you suggested and everything works just fine now.
