Auto Assigning Subscribe to Topics

Is there a way to have users be automatically assigned to certain Forums once they are created and also block them from being able to remove the subscription to them from those forums?

For example, I have a forum called News. NewUser signed up, i want it so that he is automatically subscribed to the News forum and does not have the option to unsubscribe from that forum.

Not built into jForum. This is somewhat tricky to do as in generic since people have widely different needs to do this. E.g., just some people in a certain groups or all people.

In addition, many countries have laws which require mass e-mail programs to meet certain criteria like requiring an "unsubscribe" link. (And many folks think this is a "moral" requirement as well...).

That said, search the forums. There are several threads that cover this.

Ok Ill look a bit further into this. This forum is staying internal and the reason why I want to make certain things mandatory to subscription is because it makes it easier for me to just send out mass status updates thru the forum site rather than using a separate emailing entity. None the less, I shall dive in deeper thru the forums to see what I can find.
