I want to have install 3 instances of this forum running on one tomcat server with 512MB RAM. I already have 3 other application running on the same tomcat server but these application are not very much memory intensive. Please let me know how much run time memory this forum takes at run time for one instance.

Is there any way I can call this forum from all 3 different website with different set of categories choices? If I am able to do so then i don't need to install 3 forum instances.

Thanks,
-Vijay.

Memory use depends a lot on your caching settings and volume of posts so it's hard to give you a specific number. But I'm not sure that there would be that much difference between three web contexts and a single one since the bulk of the memory is in topic lists, user rights, and the like. The memory needed for these would probably be about the same in either case. There would be some overhead in the redundant classes and some other stuff.

See my reply to your other topic for the 3 in 1 issue.
