I am a complete beginner and am working on developing my first website which i would like to use this forum software but when i read the comments on this forum I am quickly lost with the jargon and programmer talk. I would guess i am of average computer intelligence and nowhere near a programmer. My question pertains to me being a complete beginner should I even bother trying to download and install this software? Assuming, i download and install the software to a compatable database should everything be smooth sailing after that? and is it even possible to simply download and then install without having to tweak things around? Any comments would be appreciated and sorry for the beginner question.

I guess it would be recommendable to someone assist you in the setup (server configuration, for example).
