well... it runs on a unix server. These are the file rights: -rw-r--r--, the same owner and the same group as all other files; no other application accesses this file, jforum only . That should be OK, shouldn't it?

Hi all!

I got a problem with a message preview. I see the error message: "An error has occurred.
For detailed error information, please see the HTML source code, and contact the forum Administrator.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: Template default/highligther_js.htm not found." Needless to say, that I already looked for the highligther_js.htm file and found it at the right place: templates/default

Here is the stacktrace:

Error reading included file default/highligther_js.htm The problematic instruction: ---------- ==> include "highligther_js.htm" [on line 75, column 9 in default/topic_review.htm] ---------- Java backtrace for programmers: ---------- freemarker.template.TemplateException: Error reading included file default/highligther_js.htm at freemarker.core.Include.accept(Include.java:153) at freemarker.core.Environment.visit(Environment.java:196) at freemarker.core.ConditionalBlock.accept(ConditionalBlock.java:79) at freemarker.core.Environment.visit(Environment.java:196) at freemarker.core.MixedContent.accept(MixedContent.java:92) at freemarker.core.Environment.visit(Environment.java:196) at freemarker.core.Environment.process(Environment.java:176) at freemarker.template.Template.process(Template.java:232) at net.jforum.JForum.processCommand(JForum.java:233) at net.jforum.JForum.service(JForum.java:200) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:803) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:290) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:206) at net.jforum.util.legacy.clickstream.ClickstreamFilter.doFilter(ClickstreamFilter.java:59) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:235) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:206) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.filters.ReplyHeaderFilter.doFilter(ReplyHeaderFilter.java:96) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:235) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:206) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke(StandardWrapperValve.java:230) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke(StandardContextValve.java:175) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.security.SecurityAssociationValve.invoke(SecurityAssociationValve.java:179) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.security.JaccContextValve.invoke(JaccContextValve.java:84) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke(StandardHostValve.java:127) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke(ErrorReportValve.java:102) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.service.jca.CachedConnectionValve.invoke(CachedConnectionValve.java:157) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngineValve.invoke(StandardEngineValve.java:109) at org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:262) at org.apache.coyote.ajp.AjpProcessor.process(AjpProcessor.java:437) at org.apache.coyote.ajp.AjpProtocol$AjpConnectionHandler.process(AjpProtocol.java:366) at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Worker.run(JIoEndpoint.java:446) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595) Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Template default/highligther_js.htm not found. at freemarker.template.Configuration.getTemplate(Configuration.java:489) at freemarker.core.Environment.getTemplateForInclusion(Environment.java:1357) at freemarker.core.Include.accept(Include.java:143) ... 31 more

Has anybody idea what the problem is?

Thanks in advance

The default templates look fairly straight forward for this. The only thing I can think of are the obvious ones:

File access rights don't allow the user id Tomcat is running under to access the file.

Some other application has the file locked so that Tomcat can't open it. (Have seen this sort of problem occasionally under Windoze).

D'oh... some stuff jogged my memory... and I looked closer. This is a typo in topic_review.htm template (which was reported in a thread a while back).

The message says: highligther_js.htm

This is not the file name: highlighter_js.htm

The solution is to change the include reference at the bottom of the topic_review.html template file to use the correct file name.
