default user preferences

I would like to set the default to the following user preferences to "yes", still allowing the user to override with their desired choice from their "my profile' page:

Send e-mail notification when posts get answered:
Send notification for all new messages:
Include the message contents within the notification email:

Is there a way to do this? I don't see it from any of the admin screens or the config files.

The user defaults actually come from the DB table defaults. So, just change the jforum_users table structure in your DB so the columns below have a default value of 1 instead of 0.

The columns you're interested in are:

user_notify, user_notify_always, and user_notify_text
