Hi guys, I was wondering if JForum has the ability to automatically generate sitemaps for search engines? Wordpress for example gives you this ability so you dont have to continually generate it manually.

If this is not a current feature it would be a great feature for the next generation of jforum.

Thanks,

Mike

Not quite sure how you would define a Site Map for a forum.. Do you map down to the post level? Is this useful?

Do you have an example?

If you're thinking about doing a Site map to the forum level, it probably wouldn't be that hard to create an RSS version of the Forum Index and then map this into a site map.

Hi Monroe,

Thanks for the reply. It turns out that google webmaster tools actually accepts RSS sydication aswell as xml following the sitemap.xml xsd, so in actual fact there is no need. I worked it out after alot of trial and error, but it means that google will get notified of new forum posts everytime it checks the rss feed.

Warm regards,

Mike
