Hello,

First of all the JForum product is really good. I've been enjoying using JForum 2.1.8 and it works really well. Great job

Recently I went to look at JForum 3 and I'm quite interested in contributing. I checked out the source code from SVN trunk (http://jforum.googlecode.com/svn), setup Mysql, compiled it etc and it all seems to work.

Overall I'm impressed by the cleanlines of the architecture of JForum3, it seems you've addressed a lot of the issues with JForum2.1.8.

But looking at the code there were about 50 compilation errors and 200 failing tests. Have I done something wrong? Or got the wrong repository/branch or something?

So I have two points:
  • I would like to help if you'd like some more help. How do developers join your merry team?
  • I'd also like to know whether I do have the correct source code. If I do, I could look at some of these compilation issues for you as many just seem to be wiring issues...
