hi All,

I have an application which was coded in Struts 1.0 and no validator framework was used then.Now its been asked to use validator in the application.I dont have much knowledge on how Validator was used with Struts 1.0.Forward upgradation is not possible to 1.1 is not possible.Please help as how validator is supposed to be used with 1.0

I am pretty sure that the Validator framework was added to Struts with the 1.1 release. If that is the case then you could try to integrate the framework yourself, but it seems easier to just implement validation in the validate method on the forms. You can create validation methods in a utility class. In some ways I find this much easier than the Validator framework. Do you need client-side validation?
