I know fundamentals of Java. In my job, they gave me the responsibility of debugging the code. I am not sure where to start from. Any idea? I will get lost very easily, when to many classess were referenced. How do I tackle/overcome that.
I want to set up on my laptop, database, weblogic and wanted to try some file io operations like, reading a file and writing into table etc.

My apologies, if I am asking too many questions. Pl. guide me.

Thanks.

Wow!

Sounds like they have thrown you in at the deep end of the swimming pool!

you should talk to your management and see if they can pair you with someone more experienced.

All the books and online resources in the world will not be better than a seasoned mentor.

especially as all the books in the world won't be written like your companies code, which will have it's own little quirks, design issues and legacy problems.

The head first books seem to be very popular (I don't really like them but everyone else does).
