Hi all,
Passed the Web Component Developer exam today with 92%!!!
Took the same approach as many others have posted here before(thanks to you guys for posting valuable information!!).
Used HFSJ - read through that twice and did each exam at end of chapter and the exercises as I went. There's a lot of info in that book so it deserves a second run through to make sure you've taken everything in.
Also used Enthuware
Test Studio - can't praise this enough as a resource when studying for this exam - well worth the $20 investment!!
Of course, also did a lot of coding of small web apps as I went. You're taking a lot of info in when studying for this exam so this is a great way of re-enforcing what you've learnt and helps in actually understanding things rather than just memorizing.
The exam itself - there were very few questions on asynchronous processing(from what others had said, I was expecting more on that area..maybe that's just luck of the draw?!!)...everything else was pretty much a mixed bag of all the exam topics! Found a lot of the questions quite verbose and they take a bit of reading to make sure you're clear on exactly what they're asking - good advice is to slow down and take your time on each one.
As an indication - I was about mid-80's average on the Enthuware exams and about 60%(I think) on HFSJ Final Exam(which, again as others have said, is a lot harder than the actual exam)
Hope this helps anyone currently going for the exam.
Best of luck!
Damien
