We have installed JBoss 5.1.1 EAP on our Redhat Linux servers and the next step is to have them to run as a service so they start and stop when the server does.
Unfortunately, the script to do this (jboss_init_redhat.sh) isn't in the EAP distribution (others have noticed this, so it's not just our distribution copy).
I've trawled the web for a way round this and there are various solutions but for every solution someone posts a problem with the solution.
Does anyone have a reliable proven solution for this issue?

I have a GA version of JBoss 5.1.0 on my lap-top which does have the missing script. Would that work on JBoss 5.1.1 EAP?

Thanks for any advice,
Glyn

Sure it will work, that's the way I set up JBoss EAP as a service on old Fedora box way back when.
