Does anyone know the name of the music they danced to? (May14) It was a Brazillian Samba and was a blast!

Good job I asked. I was expecting it to be Prince William and Cheryl Cole.

She's an English pop singer, but she did appear briefly as a judge on one of Simon Cowell's US talent shows (X-Factor, Pop Idol, something like that) but got sacked allegedly because Americans couldn't understand a word she said. Admittedly most Brits can't understand her Geordie accent either.

Is that supposed to help this American, who still thinks of football as something that is played primarily with one's hands?

Wise move. I'm guessing her sacking/resignation/amicable separation (depending on what paper/website you read) was probably a bigger story in the UK than the US where, as you say, most people had probably never heard of her.

I'd say it's the never-ending football vs. handegg confusion.

I call it "that sport they play in other countries".

Seriously, most people in the U.S. would call that "soccer". To probably 99% of people here, the word "football" means this. We are not dumb...we know that pretty much the rest of the free world thinks of what you linked to, but it is not what first comes to mind over here.

At the moment, I'm more interested in hearing her talk than seeing her face. I read up a little on the "Geordie" dialect. I've never heard OF it, let alone heard how it sounds.

Yes, indeed. Thanks!. I tried to use Shazam on my phone to find the title but it failed. Btw, do you know what the music is in the other dance?

Ah yes Twain, the great British humorist. Or Houmourist. Whatever.

I think it makes more sense as an Oscar Wilde quote.
