Choosing the right database certification: Oracle or Microsoft ?

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
I am new to databases and I am working with MS SQL free to learn DBMS. Since, I am already familiar with MS-SQL, I want to go for its cert. But many employers demand oracle DB. I dont know which cert to take. Is it possible to easily switch over to working on an oracle db (with a crash course of say, 2 weeks) after getting certified in ms-sql ? Does the switching take lot of effort and study ? Please help me to choose one.

Thanks.

Why not download the free Oracle (express?)

As you already said, if many employers are looking for Oracle, then you would be doing yourself a favor.

I want to know if it the process of working on oracle db is easy and somewhat intuitive if you have worked on ms db ? OR do you have to begin from scratch ?

No, not scratch. SQL is similar (minus proprietary parts.) Concepts are similar. There are many differences but you can going with the basics quickly.
