Hello. I want to develop an Android application which needs to send information to a PostgreSQL database. I need to connect to this db using an intermediary web service. I would like some hints/info's and what should i start with. Thank you.

Which part is the problem - the Android app, the WS, the Android-to-WS communication, the WS-to-DB communication, or something else? What, precisely, do you have so far, and where are you stuck making progress?

I have just the Android application. Id like some guidelines of how to build the communication between Android and WS,then from WS to DB. And i dont know about web services.. Some very basic example would be nice, at least a communication between android and a web server. Sry for my english

Read up on RESTful WS. Those can be implemented on the server via a library such as Jersey (assuming that server runs a servlet container), and can be accessed from Android using its built-in HttpClient library. I'm sure that you'll find introductory articles if you search for some phrase like "android rest web service" or similar.
