I have a form with a simple action:
<html:form action="ads/newObituaryUpload" enctype="multipart/form-data">
the problem is, that from unknow reasons, sometimes the form, with the same information is being submitted successfuly, and sometimes not.

I'm not sure if this is what's causing your problem, but it does concern me when I see action="ads/newObituaryUpload". If the current page exists in the context root, then this will work, but if it doesn't, it won't. It's better to specify action="/ads/newObituaryUpload".

Could you describe what you mean by "sometimes not"? Are you getting a specific error?
