Hello Sir,

I have created a JAX-RS web service using eclipse, eclipselink and tomcat server.Whenever this web service is called we need to detect the IP address of the request source, receive the request information and pass it on to another servlet deployed on the tomcat server after adding few parameters as querystring.

I am able to retrieve the IP address but I don't know how to call a servlet from the web-service after passing the request information.

Please help

Thanks and Regards
Ranju

One approach is to use httpclient apis to make the post/get but then am curious as to why the WS implementation is behind a servlet.

Hello Sir ,

Thanks for the quick response..In our case we are trying to create a middleware application using JAX-RS webservice. This webservice will receive the request from the client and after some initial validations and processing will pass on the request information and other data to a servlet which deployed on other server and is already being used for the processing.

Kindly help me by providing a small example as I am new to the whole structure of eclipselink,jpa,Jax-RS web services.

Thanks and Regards
Ranju
