why did JSP came when we had Servlets ...and at the end JSP pages are converted into Servlets so why did JSP came...??? why we need it?? why it was created?? what were the disadvantage or weakness in Servlets that we needed JSP...what is it that generated the requirment for JSP?

Just try to create any even moderately complex HTML markup or JavaScript by building it up in Java strings and you'll have your answer.

What a nightmare that would be!

this is true , that jsp also convert into servlet , but when we want to send the large and complex html page with javascript and css , in response , with the help of servlet we type manually all response , so this is error prone approach. and the another concept is Model View Controller pattern . for flexibility of application.
