Greetings!!!
i am using <h:inputText> to set the bean property. the complete code is
<h:inputText id="id" value="#{issuetoTO.id}" onchange="submit();" ></h:inputText>
when i start the jsp(tomcat 6) input box displays 0 (which is default value of bean property) but when i change the value and hit return it again shows 0 only.it is not setting the bean property value. am I missing something.
i have used 4 jar files (standard, jsf-api,jsf-impl and jst for jsf 1.2) are they sufficient??
thankx

You probably defined the bean as having Request scope. Request scope is almost useless in JSF, since the Request-scope objects are destroyed at the end of each Request. A new Request-scope object will be created on the next Request, but none of the data set in the previously-referenced Request scope object will survive.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
