HI ALL,

I WAS WORKING AS AN JAVA PROGRAMMER FOR 6 MONTHS(CORE JAVA + GWT).

BUT NOW I GOT SHIFTED TO AS/400 . NOW I AM LEARNING COBOL,RPGLE AND CL.

PLEASE GUIDE ME AS I AM UNCERTAIN ABOUT THE FUTURE OF AS/400 .

WHAT WILL BE THE BEST OPTION FOR ME .

Hello Abhijeet,

That is a pretty big leap.

The AS/400 (now iSeries) is quite popular. Where I work we have both J2EE and iSeries applications.
Unfortunately, RPG and CL are not skills required on other platforms. COBOL is, e.g: mainframe.

If you are not comfortable with this "move", bide your time and look for a Java position.
