Can someone tell me where I can find out more information on the startit function in Java script. I have a lotto program that I am working on.

There is no startit() function in JavaScript. It must be a function defined by your program.

What "startit" function are you asking about? As far as I know, "startit" isn't a standard Javascript function of any kind.

Again, we have not idea what a "startit()" function is. If you are having problems with the example in a book, it'd be best to narrow down your confusion and post an SSCCE (Short Self-Contained Correct Example) showing the point of confusion.
